What does the full process involve
From initial discovery to ongoing support, we explain to you our step by step process which allows you to transform your current IT, to a modernised Cloud Solution.
1. INITIAL BUSINESS DISCOVERY
Our business discovery is designed to understand who you are and what you do. At this initial stage we will look to find out the following from you:
– Who you are & what you do
– The size of your organisation
– Your current IT pain points
– What areas you believe can be improved
– What IT you currently have in Place
– The Applications that you use
By finding out answers to these simple questions, we are able to build an understanding that allows us to align our Cloud Service to your business. We can then provide you some budgetary costs for further discussion.
2. PRE MIGRATION ASSESSMENT
Our pre-migration assessment is where we really get a good understanding of your IT. This is carried out after you have an idea of basic costs and have trialled our service.
The assessment will run for 7-30 days and will capture the following information:
– Server and Storage Metrics (size profiling)
– Processing and Memory utilisation
– Applications sets
– Data input and output
We like to run the assessment for a period of time, to build a true reflection of your IT usage. We then finalise our proposal, and provide you with a monthly cost to migrate your current IT to our Managed Cloud Service.
3. TESTING & FINAL MIGRATION
Once we have carried out the pre-migration assessment, our attention turns to the migration of your applications and data, and the testing phase.
Typically this process requires input from both parties to ensure we get the correct setup for your users. You can:
– Test the service with your applications loaded
– Make final tweaks to get the setup correct
At the testing phase we don’t include a full data import. Once testing is complete, we agree a date that’s suitable and do a final cutover of data before we look to onboard you.
4. ONBOARDING & TRAINING
This is the fun bit… We roll out your Virtual Cloud Desktops to your users. We agree a date in line with your final cutover, and provide each user with a username and password to login to their desktop.
Don’t worry, we will be on hand to ensure all devices have the remote app enabled and will provide instructions for logging in.
Once logged in, you users will see a normal Windows 10 desktop. It’s as simple as that and they are back to work.
Use the remote app or URL on any device. You are then safe in the knowledge that their Cloud Desktop is managed centrally.
